Coombe House School

Coombe House School in Dorset provides a relationship-based, high-quality education for young people from 5 to 19 with special educational needs. The school is set in 55 acres of woodland, with historic and modern buildings and is a truly special place.

They reached out to us in the early phase of transforming the buildings into their special school. They wanted unique, therapeutic, calm spaces that had their students needs at the centre of of the design.

We have worked with the school in phases as they have adapted and transformed different buildings, to date we have now designed and completed 21 spaces. These include classrooms, the dining room, therapy rooms, intervention rooms, staff rooms and much more.

We have LOVED working with the school and as they have grown, so have we! In phase one, Shahana and her family visited the school in the holidays to make over the spaces in person. She returned for phase two and supported the school virtually for phase three. She plans to go back to see the final 14 spaces in person and take lots of photos and videos to share with everyone.
