One of the key standards that governs the dimensions and ergonomics of classroom furniture is the British Standard EN 1729. This standard provides guidelines for the sizing of tables and chairs used in educational settings, ensuring that they are appropriate for the age and physical stature of students.
Each size mark corresponds to a specific seat height and approximate child height range. The size mark on the chairs is then paired with the size mark on the tables to ensure they are the right size for each year group.
Size mark 3 chairs pair with size mark 3 tables
Size mark 4 chairs pair with size mark 4 tables
Size mark 5 chairs pair with size mark 5 tables
Size mark 6 chairs pair with size mark 6 tables
Note: Both size mark 4 and 5 can be used for year 6. We would recommend size mark 6 for those with taller children

Possum Play Couch
We love to use the Possum play couch in our SEN rooms, therapy rooms and sensory or regulation rooms. This modular sofa is the perfect regulation tool, inspiring play, creativity and movement whilst also offering a calm, comfortable place to sit or hide in. It can be a sofa, fort, den or house- whatever they can imagine!
The sofa is easy to move and comes with two square bases, two circle cushions and two triangular cushions.

The Possum Play Couch is delivered in a box that is 31cm x 31cm x 91cm and weighs 14 kg.

- Greater variety in builds
- A softer top for snuggling into in couch mode
- Smaller children will find the thinner base easier to lift and build with
